You might don’t know I’m from Sri Lanka Few weeks back in here they have started new Airline call Mihin Lanka it is a new low-cost airline based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. And It is a fully owned and funded enterprise of the Sri Lankan government. It’s main focus is providing low cost flights from Colombo to Dubai, in the UAE and a number of cities in India. Launched in 2007, And I got a snap of air hostess of Mihin Lanka thta you might like to see.. �

why on earth wud they copy the SRI LANKAN airlines uniform?? no originality wot so ever..Tha same saree in blue. did mihin really think they can compete with an airline like UL? gosh… they have a very long way to go..

Ya ,, I know all of them , ex UL staff , left the company for various reasons and now with Mihin, Sajin Vass has done all of them,,, very easy going,, Sajin even suppplied them to few of his fellow Ministers as well ….

This uniform is nothing like Sir Lankans uniform. Sri Lankan have a green peacock style sari, the traditional dress. The blue simply matches their logo. Many airlines in this area wear Saris.Its like in the Middle east, Gulf Air and Emirates and Etihad both have head scarves. This wasn’t copying, its tradition. Gulf was the first airline to use the design with a Pierre Cardin style uniform. However PIA used a similar style in the 1960s. This blue sari creation is just another “cultural” uniform for an area that has manged to keep its identity and maintain a vibrant and simply wonderful style. Im not saying i like th blue Saris. Because they are plain and simple and look like any ol Sari. But when your low cost, you keep to a simple easy to mass produce design, such as this. I must say though, the crew bags are a little OTT
